Ministry Partnership Training - JHB

In Jo’burg currently for a week giving training on doing ministry through support of others.

Joburg Training

Ps Andrew Hunter & myself are in Johannesburg training +20 missionaries that are going to do campus ministry, community development & youth on how to engage the greater body of the church to be a part of ministry through support.

Ministry Partnership is a biblical heritage that we see plenty of times in the bible, including in the life of Paul. In his letter to the Philippian church, he thanks them for they consistent support that enabled him to do his ministry vocationally (Philippians 4:10-20).

It’s such a privilege and joy for us as a movement and for me personally to be part of this legacy.

One goal: to see the glory of the Lord fill the earth! Habakkuk 2:14

Leaders Camp 2011

From 28 to 30 January we held a leaders camp for all the leaders and student leaders that are going to head up the campus ministry on UCT to hear from God before the campus year starts.

What an incredible time it was- God’s presence filled the place as He confirm the call on our lives to see His kingdom come on our campuses.

Ps Andrew Hunter here shared a convicting message entitled Don’t Waste Your Life. Every moment in our lives is an opportunity to show off God’s glory. He inspired us to maximise every minute of our lives and every moment in our ministry to ensure we don’t miss a single moment God can use us in every thing we do daily.

This year’s vision for campus is: Fearless 2011! We spent the past few years developing leaders and raising God loving disciples and we sense God saying that this year He’s going  to use this army or soldiers to fearlessly take the campus because of God in us and the army knows its master!

Fun times too!!

Fun 2

God is going to hold all of us believers accountable for the commission to “Go and make disciples of all nations.” Mat 28:19 My prayer is that we discover in which area and in which way this looks like for all of us so we can do it passionately! We’re all, actually, in full-time ministry.

Fun

RCLS 2010 feedback

100 plus full-time campus missionaries gathered once more for a week of strategic planning.

Every year all the campus leaders from the campuses where we minister descend to a central place to touch-base, plan the next year and get a time of refreshing before the next year. It’s here where initiatives like Campus Harvest are birthed.

This year campus missionaries from 3 nations representing 29 campuses came over. It is so incredible to see leaders from different cultures, races & backgrounds united in Christ to make a difference year after year on the campuses of our continent.

Our campus ministries have grown to a point where currently we reach 6236 students!

And this is just the beginning.

In the last two years we have grown from 24 campuses reaching 5,284 students to now being established on 29 campuses reaching 6236 students.  Though this is a significant growth, we still feel called not to relax but to reach all students on the campuses with the gospel raising godly leaders across Africa and the world.

Some of the highlights:

  • The vision for Campus Harvest 2011 was conceived.
  • Workshops on leadership, addressing ancestorlism, addressing students exclusions, responding to homosexuality on the campuses and building a united church through setting an example by  living it.
